Which corsets can we make?
Corsets
A corset has been prescribed for you or your child. The type of corset is determined by the doctor, depending on the problem and the deviation of the spine. As an orthotist, it is my task to create a corset that prioritizes comfort and maximum correction.
The custom-made corsets are digitally created, and the production is entirely through 3D printing, ensuring a very precise fit. If you are looking for more information regarding the pathology, click here.
Design
Different designs can be applied to the corset, either in engraving or embossing, depending on the type of corset. Due to the 3D printing process, the corsets are only available in white or gray. However, for the straps and rivets, there are several color options. If you have your own idea or design, it can certainly be incorporated into the design process.
Where does my passion come from?
Since my childhood, nature and technology have always fascinated me. Later, my care for people also grew. My first dream was to become an architect and build houses that are seamlessly integrated into nature. Frank Lloyd Wright and Alvar Aalto inspired me.
Both used nature as a starting point. However, later I chose nursing, a different direction, and focused on the technical side of healthcare within the operating room.
Over time, I discovered the profession of orthoprothetist, a career that for me is the perfect combination of care and architecture. With various materials, I can support and correct the body.
However, during my work, I noticed how polluting this sector can be due to the use of strong adhesives, synthetic fabrics, and non-sustainable materials. My goal is to create corsets that combine high quality and functionality in a comfortable and attractive design, while being produced in an environmentally friendly manner.

Return / Price
In Belgium, medical custom-made corsets are fully reimbursed by the health insurance, with a prescription from a specialized doctor (e.g., orthopedic specialist, pediatric neurologist, pediatrician, neurologist, rehabilitation doctor). To qualify, the corset must be supplied by a recognized orthopedic specialist. I make use of the third-party payment system.
If one does not yet have health insurance, an application must first be submitted to the paying institution, such as the OCMW, Fedasil, or the Red Cross. For prefab corsets / bandages, partial reimbursement is sometimes provided, depending on the type of corset.
